Pakistan's Missing Investigation
According to a World Bank report, 62% of the population in Balochistan are below the poverty line the project was anticipated to ensure production and development have, in fact, led to increased violence and human rights violations.
The Chinese engagement in Pakistan is leading to tighter military control of civilian and economic control of matters relating to CPEC. According to the four-layer security plan, an estimated 32,000 security personnel have been assigned to guard over 14,321 Chinese workers engaged in various projects throughout the country. According to the plan, Baluchistan will be guarded the heaviest, getting about 5,700 personnel of the Frontier Corps. The number of enforced disappearances has increased since the start of CPEC according to Ahktar Menghal politician chair of Balochistan National party (provided catalogue of missing persons, I have verified a number of cases).
Storyline & Evidence
Shabir was attending a gathering against the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) when the army raided the place. Twenty others were abducted alongside Shabir for protesting against local injustices caused by CPEC. He was abducted in October 2016, his whereabouts remain unknown. Before his abduction, his house in Gowarkop was burned down.

The above video depicts homes being burnt by military personnel Zamuran, Kech, Balochistan in January 2017. Kech is one of the key districts of Pakistan where the USD 51 billion worth CPEC will be passing through.

Abid Ashraf
I spoke to returnee Abid Ashraf he was abducted with Nawaz Atta on October 28th 2017
In Gulshan Hadid Phase 1 extension 131 Abid was abducted and blindfolded with 7 others from whre he was transferred to Malai Canntt a cantonment camp, where they were held and tortured, and subsequently moved to an internment centre. What makes this case unusual is two children aged and 13 were also picked up.
He recalls from his time in prison he was taken by MI (military intelligence) Unit 3 which was a codename used by prison guards which connects to a military unit in Khozdar.
Marwat Usman Mari was present during the torture at the internment centre, Mari works as a chief in Khuzdar his station is located at CMH hospital.
Torture Victim : Ghazzen
Ghazzen was abducted with four others, he is not an activist but was picked up under the assumption that he was engaged in political activities against CPEC.
Questions that he did not share on the video he recorded for me. They asked him constantly during his incarceration, “who are you working with against CPEC”, he told me via phone he didn’t feel comfortable sharing this on the camera because he is constantly under surveillance. Ghazzen said “I did not share this information with the people working at the UN Working group against enforced disappearances, as I feel they cannot ensure my safety.
CPEC has become a trigger word, many of the inmates at Asghar gate a military camp in Turbat were picked up on alleged anti-state activities against CPEC. We just want jobs, nothing else” said Ghazzen.

Off the record interview with ISI source
An ISI agent stated they have picked up over 300 in Balochistan being held in various internment centres. There are 27,000 soldiers present to guard the Chinese employees. They are not associated with the mass graves found , he said we dump the bodies much further afield you would not be able to locate them in Balochistan, but didn't deny hiring local militias such as Shafiq Menghal. The cateogory black cases have increased, trials are held in secret military courts and bodies dumped in undisclosed locations.
